9/11: Who really benefited? Fact and Not Fiction…

Forget so-called conspiracy theories. Instead look at reality. Dare ask yourself who actually seems to have benefited from the 9-11 calamity. In light of the debt ceiling debates and the continuous corrupt politics as usual of Washington D.C., it is time for the Americans, and the individual states of this federation, to look at a troubling set of facts. They need now know: How many Muslims actually benefited? Then ask that irrespective of who did it, does it not seem that our culture has some issues to contend with and some bureaucracy to address besides the liberal agenda? So folk! If lawyers don’t start making more noise we could have some serious problems.

Norway killer’s pro-Hindutva rant has Sangh squirming

As the global media were busy harping on “Islamic Terrorism” a new phenomenon emerged in India, the “Saffron Terrorism” a name given to Hindutva extremism by none else than the country’s Home Minister, P Chidambaram. It was to these saffron terrorists that Breivik  referred in his 1500-page manifesto giving clear hints about the sources from where he got inspiration. The names included various wings of Sangh Parivar with whom he was in touch through e-mails. No wonder that a Sangh Parivar zealot B P Singhal, while talking to Christian Science Monitor boastfully sympathized with the cause highlighted by the Norwegian killer Anders Behring Breivik. “I am with the shooter in his objective, but not in his method. If you want to attract the nation’s attention, surely you need to do something drastic and dramatic.” Said Singhal.

BJP MP: NORWEGIAN KILLER’S IDEAS WERE NOT WRONG

·

by TNN

 ·

Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik’s ringing endorsement of Hindutva and Hindu nationalists has left saffron leaders embarrassed.

·

Ram Madhav of RSS called it “motivated propaganda”, while VHP’s Vinod Bansal insisted that his manifesto, in which he has praised Hindu nationalists, “made no sense”. However, BJP MP B P Singhal was quoted as saying that the killer’s ideas were not wrong but his methods were.

·

·
In his over 1,500-page manifesto titled “2083: A European Declaration of Independence”, Breivik talks of Hindutva elements as allies and urges them to fight shoulder to shoulder with his knights. His mission: To stem the spread of Islam in Europe. That India occupies a large part of his perverse mindspace is clear from the 100 pages he dedicates to the country. He comes out in support of “sanatana dharma movements and Indian nationalists in general”.
·
·
He provides the BJP, RSS and ABVP websites as references for more information. The Indian government, he claims, should have insisted on a name change of the Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan, because they were named after the Hindus who “were massacred” there. Modern India, he says, “white washed this Hindu genocide”, which he likens to “Auschwitz”.
·
·
Breivik quotes an NCERT directive of 1982 (which actually shows India embracing its multicultural identity) to say he is outraged that it stipulates, “characterization of the medieval period as a time of conflict between Hindus and Moslems is forbidden”.

·

Reacting to Breivik’s rant, Ram Madhav, senior RSS leader, said: ” His entire so-called manifesto quotes conservative writers from both sides of the Atlantic. Ideological similarities have been drawn from all over, so to say suddenly that it is linked to Indian nationalists or Hindutva is simply motivated propaganda.”

·

The VHP’s Vinod Bansal said: “Most of what he has to say makes no sense, except the bit about appeasing Muslims is right. Basically, the UPA government under Sonia Gandhi has been indulging in it and also framing policies in such a way that the whole country is converted to Christianity.”

·

Hindus, Breivik says, have been victims of the greatest historical “genocide” by waves of Islamic jihad.

·

He quotes right-wing historian KS Lal to argue his point. The most important part of this document is his cherry-picking of history and religion to come to some terribly distorted conclusions.

·

Breivik claims he wrote several emails and also used Facebook to reach out to people in India. It is possible that he sent his manifesto to the addresses he farmed ahead of the massacre.

·

There are several themes running through Breivik’s tortured manifesto. On the one hand, he attacks Islam and the “appeasement” of Muslims by everybody from western countries to countries like India. But on the other, he has a special place for what he calls the Marxist intellectuals, who, he says, dominate western thought and stifle free societies.

Anders Breivik wasn’t a “lone wolf”, he was part of a movement

Anders Behring Breivik (born 13 Feb. 1979) is a Norwegian terrorist and the confessed perpetrator of the July 22, 2011 Norway attacks. The attacks included detonating a car bomb in downtown Oslo, Norway, near the offices of the Prime Minister, killing eight and wounding 26. This was followed by a mass shooting on the nearby island of Utøya, where he attacked teenagers attending a Norwegian Labour Party youth camp, killing 85 and wounding 66. Breivik described his far-right militant ideology in an online manifesto 2083 – under the anglicised pseudonym Andrew Berwick. His ultranationalist manifesto lays out hisxenophobic worldview, which includes support for varying degrees of cultural conservatismright-wing populism, and anti-Islamisation. He further argues for the violent annihilation of Islam, “cultural Marxism“, and multiculturalism, to preserve a Christian Europe.

Right-wing pundits are now very keen to tell us that the Norwegian terror attacks were not caused by right-wing anti-multicultural ideology.

The fact that Anders Breivik quoted Daily Mail articles in his manifesto and forged links with the same anti-immigration groups lauded by our tabloid press is apparently neither here nor there.

He was just a lone nutter okay? And besides, if it wasn’t for multiculturalism, then there wouldn’t have been a problem there in the first place. (more…)

Will India take over from Pakistan?

As the marriage of convenience between America and Pakistan comes to an end, Pakistan no longer is willing to obey America’s diktat for pursuit of its interests in the region. Washington had been preparing for the split knowing that Pakistan would eventually realize that its own interests are being adversely affected because they are in conflict with those of America.  America is desperately looking for a new partner to fill the void in its ability to pursue policy in the region and India is her new partner. Given the ambitions India has for itself now as a new economic power in Asia, the big question is: how long will this partnership last?

INDIA & AMERICA: WILL THE MARRIAGE LAST?

The marriage of convenience between America and Pakistan is coming to an end. Pakistan is no longer willing to obey America’s diktat for pursuit of its interests in Central Asia, the Middle East, or in South Asia. Washington had been preparing for the split knowing that Pakistan would eventually realize that its own interests were being adversely affected because they were in conflict with those of America.  America is desperately looking for a new partner to fill the void in its ability to pursue policy in these three regions.

The basic pattern of Kissinger or Brezinski style “intelligent Imperialism” has been played so many times that it is becoming too obvious. A favored ally is discarded when no longer of use to pursuit of American interests. Mubarak, Musharref, Saddam, Raza Shah to name a few from our region. And this is not the only region where this imperial game has been repeatedly played out. One would expect more subtlety and variation in execution of strategy by a superpower. But then there are still countries and leaders who are eager and willing to be purchased to fill the void when a “favored ally” falls. America sees India as one such country.
