WE SEND OUR BEST WISHES TO MUSLIMS ALL AROUND THE WORLD FOR ISLAMIC NEW YEAR 1434 AND A HAPPY DEEWALI TO ALL OUR HINDU READERS
.
Both the Islamic and Hindu calenders are based on lunar movements. However, Islamic calendar does not go along the seasons, and therefore falls in different seasons. In contrast the Hindu calender adds a month called Adhik Mas or an extra month once in 32 solar months and 16 days for keeping pace with the seasons.
In compatibility with this seasonal fixation, Diwali in the Hindu calender always falls at the start of winter, the time when summer crop has come into market and farmers have money for spending. Traders and Business community too love this festival.
Coincidentally, this year the Islamic new year falls at the same time as Diwali in the Hindu calender. This is a good omen for the subcontinent; May both Hindus and Muslims live in peace and prosperity free from riots, killings and the wars.
At this occasion, we at Wonders of Pakistan wish all our readers Hindus and the Muslims all the best for Diwali and the Muslim new year.
